A great success for the 1st edition of the European Hydrogen Energy Days!

Hyvolution, the 1st high-profile event in France devoted to hydrogen, took place on 4 and 5 February last at the Parc Floral in Paris.

This 1st edition, organized by GL Events Exhibitions in partnership with AFHYPAC (Association Française pour l’Hydrogène et les Piles à Combustible), brought together all the industry's stakeholders but also professionals from the energy and transport industries and local authorities.  More than 650 French and international participants were able to exchange information, educate themselves and discuss current developments in the markets in France and Europe for 2 days: energy issues, supply and demand for hydrogen solutions, concrete achievements, changes in supply and innovation.

A genuine development accelerator for markets in Europe, Hyvolution was for 2 days the crossroads for exchanges between key players in the hydrogen sector, national and regional public and private-sector decision-makers, but also industrialists and scientists:

  • Very top-level conferences presented by over 70 leading French and international experts, who shared their visions and concrete illustrations of the contribution of hydrogen to energy transition.
  • All available solutions and innovative technologies for mobility, energy storage on show for the first time on the stands of 28 exhibitors and sponsors, including AIR LIQUIDE, L’ADEME, ENGIE, MCPHY, TOYOTA and SYMBIOFCELL.
  • More than 100 test drives of hydrogen vehicles done in real-world conditions: SymbioFCell's Kangoo ZEH2, and for the 1st time in France the participants were able to test drive the Toyota Mirai.
  • Practical workshops led by exhibitors or partners to go into more detail about certain topics dealt with in the conferences.


In his closing speech, AFHYPAC Chairman Pascal Mauberger said he was delighted about the success of Hyvolution:

“2 months after the Cop21, the hydrogen community demonstrated how it could contribute to addressing the climate challenge: hydrogen is here to stay! For the 1st time, 650 people have come together in an international, informal and very constructive atmosphere. The positive energy generated by these 2 days of business shows that something is really happening in the hydrogen markets. France must take the lead in Europe!”
